Sui Workshop – Day 2 Recap

Date: July 3, 2025
Location: Online Session (Google Meet)

The second session of the Sui Workshop brought another engaging evening of learning and community building. We were thrilled to host Will Riches from the Sui Foundation, who delivered a comprehensive session on the Introduction to Sui. Will walked the participants through the core principles of the Sui blockchain, its architecture, and key features like Move, zkLogin, and Sui’s scalability approach.

The session sparked active engagement, with students asking insightful questions and participating in meaningful discussions around Sui’s capabilities and use cases. Will’s deep insights into how developers can get started with Sui made it especially valuable for students who are just entering the Web3 space.

Following that, Julian from Suibo and Sui Village joined us to present on Sui Village, an initiative focused on building and growing local Sui communities. He shared the journey behind the community’s formation, how it supports builders, and the global movement around community-led adoption of Sui. His talk gave participants a broader understanding of how technical learning ties into real-world impact.

We closed the session with a fun quiz round where students tested their learning from the workshop so far. It was a great way to reinforce the concepts and keep the energy high.
